STATUES OF MEMBERSHIP:

 (a)  The membership of the association shall be open to all Igbo indigenes residing in Japan, including their spouse and children as long as they abide by the constitution.
(b) Any member under suspension is not a member within that period.

 TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP ( REGULAR MEMBER & DISTANT MEMBER)

(a)   A regular member is one that resides within the territory of the meeting venue and attends meetings and functions of the association regularly.

(b)  Distant member is one that resides in other regions of the country that is far away from the territory of the meeting  venue or for his/her job nature cannot be making it to the meeting regularly but must attend at least once in six months and all functions.       
(c) In-Active member (NOT ENTITLED FOR BENEFITS) is not an optional type of membership, you fall into this category if you are;           

•  NOT financially up to date either by dues, contribution or fine.

•  Absenteeism; a regular member that fails to attend meeting for at least six times in a year without a cogent reason.

•  Duration; if your membership is less than ONE YEAR.
